What is MCP?
MCP lets an AI tool call tools and read data from another service. With Antiem, it can read profiles, find sources, check content or perform authorized operations.
The Antiem server address is:
https://mcp.antiem.io/mcp
This is a remote Streamable HTTP server with OAuth sign-in. The URL is not an API key; knowing it does not grant data access. For a first trial, use Quick install.
Connect Claude
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and add a custom connector named Antiem using the URL above. Complete OAuth sign-in and authorization, then enable it through + → Connectors in your conversation.
On Team and Enterprise plans an organization owner must add the connector first (Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web); each user then connects their own account. Check the Claude guide if the option is missing, rather than editing a local server configuration.
Ask AI to list your accessible brands, select one and read its profile before writing content.
Connect ChatGPT and Codex
ChatGPT: on the web, open Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server if your account or workspace policies allow it. Enter Antiem's URL, use OAuth, install the plugin and select it in a conversation by typing @. See OpenAI's current guide.
Codex CLI: if installed, run:
codex mcp add antiem --url https://mcp.antiem.io/mcp
codex mcp login antiem
Complete sign-in in your browser, then check codex mcp list or /mcp in a Codex session. The sign-in screen lists the permissions Codex requests, and updates require the matching permission; a prompt cannot raise a connection's permissions. See the Codex guide.
Connect Cursor and VS Code
Cursor: the quick install button opens server setup. For manual setup, use Cursor's MCP configuration format:
{
"mcpServers": {
"antiem": {
"url": "https://mcp.antiem.io/mcp"
}
}
}
Merge the antiem entry into your existing configuration without overwriting other servers. Complete OAuth sign-in and enable Antiem when using Agent. See the Cursor MCP guide.
VS Code: run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, select HTTP, enter the URL and name it antiem. Choose the configuration location suggested by your installed version. Authenticate and enable the server in a Copilot session that can call tools. See the VS Code guide.
Choose a brand and grant permissions
Connection permissions belong to your Antiem account. AI can only access its permitted brands, but do not assume it only sees the brand currently open on the web.
At the start of a task, ask AI to list brands, choose the correct one and read its profile. Avoid “the current client” if your conversation contains several clients.
mcp:read: reading and checks that do not change data.mcp:write: required for tools that write or process data:antiem_propose_brand_update,antiem_ingest_brand_documentandantiem_decide_brand_proposal. These also need an owner or admin role in the brand, which is checked separately.
The authorization screen lists every permission the client requests and lets you allow or deny them as a whole; it has no per-permission switches. A connection is read-only only when the client requests mcp:read alone. Review the screen before agreeing. Disabling a tool in a client and limiting a token's permissions are different actions.
Confirm changes, review history and disconnect
Profile updates or document ingestion can return a preview and require confirmation. Review the brand, fields, values and sources before agreeing. If a confirmation form does not appear, keep the preview and follow the result's instructions; AI should not treat a failed call as a successful write.
Writing operations do not all share the same confirmation screen. MCP document import can create pending proposals; processing them requires an owner or admin role. Identity fields may require a reason entered by the user. Read Brand profile.
Users with access to Kết nối MCP (MCP connections) in Antiem can review connections and call history. Revoking a connection affects that application's access through your account, beyond the brand currently open. You can also disable a connector in the AI client; revoke it in Antiem to cut access from Antiem's side.
